Peter malkin
israeli secret agent
Peter Malkin (1927-2005) was a member of both the Mossad and Shin Bet, Israel’s main intelligence services. Born in Germany, most of his family fled to Palestine to avoid the Nazis; his sister, who stayed behind, was murdered with her family. He was active through a wide range of critical Israeli operations, most famously the effort to capture Nazi mastermind Adolf Eichmann in 1960. Malkin is credited as having been the one who physically grabbed Eichmann and wrestled him into a waiting car. His book, Eichmann In My Hands, recounted the details of the operation from his perspective. He became one of the highest ranking officials in the Mossad and is considered one of Israel’s most effective spies. He has been portrayed in several Hollywood films.
